2009-2010 Arizona Miss Czech Slovak
Leilani Kurtak
Leilani is the daughter of Leslie Kurtak, the Artistic Director of Rusyny, the Carpathian Mountain Folk Ensemble, that has performed for the Czech Slovak American Club of Tucson. You can see her card below. Our Club made a small donation toward the expenses Leilani and her family will incur in traveling to the pageant in Wilber, Nebraska at the end of July.
Congratulations to Leilani for being one of the award winners at the 23rd Miss Czech Slovak US Pagent which took place August 1 and 2 in Wilber, NE during the Wilber Czech Festival (July 31-Aug 2). Leilani received the Lois Fiala Spirit of Czech/Slovak Heritage award. Brianna Tichy, New Jersey, of Wodwich, New Jersey was crowned 2009-10 Miss Czech Slovak United States.
